How Much Does a Pallet of Beach Pebbles Cost?

A pallet of beach pebbles from Beach Pebbles Direct runs $1,192.50 to $2,195 depending on color, and every pallet is priced and sold as a full unit — there's no per-bag or per-ton option. Polished and specialty colors cost more per pallet than natural colors, and pricing above three pallets drops into volume-pricing territory.

Why does a 1.5-ton pallet cost less than a 1.4-ton pallet?

It's not about weight, it's about the stone. The 1.5-ton pallets (3,000 lb, natural colors like Mexican Beach Pebbles, Diamond White, Snow White, Mixed, Mini Mixed and Salt and Pepper) cost less to produce than the 1.4-ton pallets (2,800 lb) used for our polished lines — Polished Black, Super Polished Black and Tiger Striped. Polishing is an extra manufacturing step, and it's why those three colors run $1,645 to $2,195 a pallet versus $1,192.50 to $1,425 for the natural colors, even though you get slightly less coverage per pallet (140 sq ft instead of 150 sq ft at 2 inches deep).

Does the price drop if I order more than one pallet?

Yes. Volume pricing kicks in above three pallets. If your project needs four or more pallets — a driveway border, a full backyard, a contractor job — call 904-685-9550 or submit a quote request and we'll price it out rather than charging the per-pallet rate straight down the line. There's a one-pallet minimum on every order; we don't sell partial pallets or by the bag.

What does delivery cost and how long does it take?

Delivery is quoted separately from stone pricing and depends on how many pallets you're ordering and where they're going. Orders under four pallets ship LTL (less-than-truckload) with curbside unloading. Orders of four pallets or more ship flatbed. Most Florida addresses get next-day delivery; the rest of the Southeast typically sees 2-3 days, and we also ship to the Caribbean. We operate yards in Jacksonville (7643 Gate Parkway) and Miami, so transit time depends on which yard is closer to your job site. There's no online checkout — you call or request a quote, we confirm pallet count and delivery cost, and you pay by invoice.

How many pallets do I need for my project?

Divide your square footage by the coverage-per-pallet number in the table above. A 600-square-foot bed at 2 inches deep needs four pallets of a natural color (600 ÷ 150) or a little over four of a polished color (600 ÷ 140 = 4.3, so round up to five). A small 300-square-foot planter border needs two pallets of a natural color. Going deeper than 2 inches increases the pallets needed proportionally — 4 inches deep roughly doubles the pallet count for the same square footage.

Are the polished colors worth the extra cost?

Polished Black beach pebbles pallet

Depends on the look you want and where they're going. Polished Black, Super Polished Black and Tiger Striped have a wet, high-gloss finish that natural stone doesn't have, and that's the appeal — but that same polish can fade with prolonged full-sun exposure. If the bed gets shade for part of the day, or you're using them somewhere covered, the finish holds up well. If it's a wide-open, all-day-sun spot in Florida, expect some dulling over time. One more honest note: don't use any of our beach pebbles in or around fire pits — they trap moisture and can crack or pop when heated.
