Most Florida addresses get beach pebble pallets the next business day; the rest of the Southeast sees 2-3 days. Orders of three pallets or fewer ship LTL (less-than-truckload) with curbside unloading, and orders of four pallets or more ship flatbed. Here's exactly how that works, what it costs you in wait time, and what to have ready before the truck shows up.
How fast does delivery actually happen?
If you're in Florida, plan on next-day delivery in most cases. Beach Pebbles Direct runs yards in Jacksonville (7643 Gate Parkway) and Miami, so wherever you are in the state, you're never far from a pickup point. Orders headed to Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, and the rest of the Southeast typically land in 2-3 days. We also ship to the Caribbean, which runs on its own timeline depending on the island and the freight carrier's schedule — call for a specific window if that's you.
None of this is guaranteed overnight shipping in the FedEx sense — it's freight, and freight depends on carrier routing, your location, and how many pallets you're moving. But next-day is the normal case for in-state orders, not the exception.
What's the difference between LTL and flatbed delivery?
This is the part people don't expect: the delivery method isn't up to you, it's determined by order size.
- Under 4 pallets: ships LTL. The pallets ride on a shared truck with other freight, and the driver has a liftgate for curbside unloading. The truck will not pull into your driveway or carry pallets to your backyard — "curbside" means curbside.
- 4 pallets or more: ships flatbed. A dedicated truck brings your full order, usually unloaded with a forklift or moffett. This is the setup most landscape contractors ordering for a job site will see.
Either way, you need a clear, flat, accessible spot near the street or driveway where a pallet (3,000 lbs for 1.5-ton stone, 2,800 lbs for 1.4-ton polished stone) can be set down. If your driveway has a steep grade, overhead wires, or tight turns, mention it when you request your quote — it affects what the carrier can do.
How many pallets do you actually need?
Every color here ships on pallets that cover roughly the same ground at a 2-inch install depth, which is the standard depth for all of these: a 1.5-ton (3,000 lb) pallet covers about 150 sq ft, and a 1.4-ton (2,800 lb) pallet — used for the polished finishes — covers about 140 sq ft. Measure your bed or path in square feet, divide by 140 or 150 depending on the stone, and round up. One pallet is the minimum order on everything we sell; there's no bag or half-pallet option.
Current pricing by pallet, straight from the live catalog:
- Mexican Beach Pebbles — $1,192.50/pallet (1.5 ton, ~150 sq ft)
- Diamond White — $1,275/pallet (1.5 ton, ~150 sq ft)
- Snow White — $1,295/pallet (1.5 ton, ~150 sq ft)

- Super Polished Black — $1,945/pallet (1.4 ton, ~140 sq ft)
- Tiger Striped — $2,195/pallet (1.4 ton, ~140 sq ft)
Prices change, so treat these as a snapshot and confirm current pricing when you request your quote. Volume pricing kicks in once you're ordering more than three pallets, which also happens to be right where you cross over from LTL to flatbed shipping.
Why does order size change the shipping method?
It comes down to weight and truck capacity. A single 1.5-ton pallet is a manageable add-on for an LTL carrier already running a route through your area, which keeps cost down for small orders. Once you're at four pallets — 11,200 to 12,000 lbs of stone — it makes more sense to send a dedicated flatbed than to try to fit that much weight onto a shared LTL truck. That's also usually the point where a landscaper or larger residential job needs full-pallet delivery straight to a job site rather than curbside drop-off at a house.
Does delivery include unloading?
LTL orders come with curbside unloading via the truck's liftgate — the driver gets the pallet off the truck and onto the ground at the curb, but moving it from the curb to your backyard is on you (a pallet jack, loader, or wheelbarrows and buckets, depending on how far you're going). Flatbed orders are typically unloaded with a forklift or moffett at the delivery point. In both cases, someone needs to be available to receive the order and point the driver to the drop spot.
How do you actually place an order?
There's no online checkout on this site — everything is quoted and invoiced. Call 904-685-9550 (that line takes calls only, not texts) or submit a quote request with your project details: color, pallet count or square footage, and delivery address. You'll get pricing and a delivery window back, and you pay by invoice once that's confirmed — no card number typed into a cart.
One honesty note on finish
If you're ordering Polished Black, Super Polished Black, or Tiger Striped for full-sun exposure, know that the high-gloss finish on these can fade over time with constant sun. It's still a durable landscape stone, just don't expect the glossy showroom look to hold forever outdoors. And whatever color you pick, keep beach pebbles away from fire pits — they trap moisture and can crack or pop with heat.
Quick answers
Do I need to be home for delivery? Yes, someone needs to be there to receive the pallet and show the driver where to drop it.
Can I get less than a pallet? No — one pallet is the minimum order across every color.
Does the price include delivery? Confirm this on your quote; freight is factored into what you're quoted, and it depends on your location and order size.
What if I'm ordering from outside Florida? Southeast states typically see 2-3 day delivery, and the Caribbean is served on a quote-by-quote basis.
